Production Planning 

During the process of applying for rights and hiring a creative team, we are there to provide a diversity outlook on the planning process. From identifying any areas that conscious casting could happen, or if a selected show must present a specific artist to play a particular part. As well as discussing with the upcoming creative teams about creating safe and inclusive environments. 

Audition Planning & Consulting

Hire us to help guide you through not just casting but for the lead up to auditions. This service will provide steps to follow which will help bring in a largely diverse pool of artists. These steps will also, in the instance of lack of diverse talent, show commitment and allyship to future production, even when unsuccessful in bringing in a large talent pool. 

We will be there during the auditions to provide not just diversity and a friendly face to the panel but to help highlight areas of opportunity for casting, highlight those who are a part of one of the marginalized communities we represent and to hold companies and creatives accountable for the agreed mission statement that has been agreed to. 

Social Media/Cast Announcements

We will be there to supply appropriate ways to communicate to our wider community that shine a light on inclusivity. When announcing a cast, our focus is to create a safe space for the performers who are being announced and to provide any information about the casting process when needed.

We welcome artists to be a part of our Conscious Casting community so that we can put those from marginalized communities at the forefront of opportunity. Opportunities for us start at the audition process and we want to create those open audition doors to as many people as possible. 

Auditions

Being a part of our community means that when we are hired to be a part of production, we can look at our artists first to see what opportunities are best suited and to make sure we make you a priority in the eyes of creatives. 

We also want to make sure regardless of the outcome of auditions, that the artists in our community gets detailed feedback with every audition they attend where Conscious Casting is on the audition panel.

Workshops

We also want to provide extensive opportunities to develop performer’s auditioning skills by offering our artists workshops that will work on previous audition feedback, help with song selection and overall presence.
